Made by feel. Named for fun.

Hi, I'm Adam, the blind guy behind Blind Guy Candles.

I grew up in the Antelope Valley, north of Los Angeles, the son of two Air Force veterans. I lived for motorsports: BMX first, then dirt bikes, then drag racing and drifting.

From 18 to 24, I was a GM dealership mechanic. I loved every minute of it.

Then Stargardt disease, a genetic form of macular degeneration, took most of my central vision. I was legally blind at 24. I lost the job and nearly everything I'd built.

The years after were a grind: couch-surfing, side jobs, and starting over, from California to Cape Cod and finally to Lakeland, Florida.

“I can't see much. But I can tell you exactly how a candle should feel and smell.”

Blind Guy Candles is me betting on myself one more time. I make every candle by hand, by feel and by scent, in small batches. Soy wax, shea butter, and jojoba melt into a warm oil you can pour right onto your skin.

The names come from the anime I love (English dub, since I can't read the subtitles). A little fun belongs on your nightstand too.

Every order helps a blind guy build something real. Thank you for being part of it.

— Adam
